Changes to my study programme
Hello readers! Today I will tell you about a topic very important for me, because I think that if these problems are solved, we as students could approach our careers in a better way. This topic is changes to my study programme.
Finally, I think that is a topic that could be discussed as a university community, because it benefits all of us and also facilitates learning. This university should be at the height of world technology.
First, I think that the programmes study in Chile are excessively long, besides taking into account that today postgraduate courses are very important for a good professional, I think you miss valuable years of work, in which you are very active and with many ideas.
If we think, today there are many tools that gives you technology faster and that we as students must study deeply so that in a matter of minutes a machine delivers what cost us a whole semester to learn.
For example, I think that the time we spend learning calculus is excessive, I understand that it is very important in my career but I think in less time we can learn what is necessary.
Also, I think in my career the approach to what we really do as a food engineer is very retarded, such as I still have a hard time understanding everything I might do throughout my career and what I know isn't what I have been taught in my study program. So subject like Introduction to Food Engineering should bring us closer to our career and the new technologies associated with it.
About buildings and infrastructure I think they are very old, so it doesn't leave us prepared for the technologies that we will really face in the future, I think that really for example, the laboratories must acquire the new existing technologies.

ReplyDeleteIt is very sad to study the things that after a machine does by itself :(
ReplyDeleteI think the same, the programs in Chile are very long, we spend the half of our lives in the university :(
